Six youths robbed on New Years Day

At approximately 2:15 AM on New Years Day six males were robbed of their phones and cash by two males with knives.

The six males were walking along Uplands Drive in search of a fast food restaurant that was open when they noticed two males following them. They first notices the males as they walked past the Nanaimo North Town Center Mall.

As they approached the intersection of Turner Rd at Uplands the two males ran up to them, pulled out knives and threatened them with harm if they did not hand over their phones and cash. The group complied and once the two males had the items they turned and walked back along Uplands. The group walked home and once there the police were contacted. The two males were not found.

The males are described as follows:

Suspect #1

-white male, 6 ft 1 to 6 ft 4,slim build,wearing dark clothing

Suspect #2

-white male, 5 ft 10 to 5 ft 11 red hair, reddish goatee
